Study Reveals COVID Antibodies Could Last For Over 5 Months
Amid COVID-19 reinfections, a study has asserted that the antibodies produced against the coronavirus are "relatively stable for at least five months". The study analysed over 30,000 patients and found that 90% participants produced strong antibody response to fight the virus and antibodies remained for "many months". The study used enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) to measure the antibodies. Experts opine that determining the duration of antibodies plays a crucial role in vaccine development.
