Study Suggests Eating Grapes Grows Resistance Against UV, Skin Cancer
A study published in an American dermatology journal suggested that grapes can protect skin from sunburn and ultraviolet (UV) skin damage which causes cancer. The study said that the fruit contains polyphenols, which help in increasing the Minimal Erythema Dose, providing resistance to UV exposure. Reportedly, the study participants showed reduction in inflammatory markers of UV damage, including reduced DNA damage and fewer deaths of skin cells, after consuming grape powder for continuous 14 days.
