Surgery Reveals 71 Kg Of Plastic, Metal Wastes In Cow's Stomach
A 4-hour-long surgery performed on a cow in Haryana's Faridabad revealed an "alarming" concentration of 71-kg plastic waste and other non-biodegradable substances in its belly. The 4-year-old cow was brought to Devashray Animal Hospital, following a car accident in NIT-5, where veterinarians found the presence of the harmful substances, including glass shards and screws. Calling it a testimony of poor waste management, animal rights activist Ravi Dubey said there is "serious" need to spread awareness.
