Taiwan Witnesses No Local COVID-19 Transmission Since April 12
Taiwan has not witnessed any locally transmitted COVID-19 case since April 12. Experts attribute this success in handling the pandemic to "strict border control" and also the past experiences of countering such situations. Taiwan is also expected to be one of those few economies that may see growth in 2020. Reportedly, Taiwan, which has a population of about 23 million, has recorded just 550 COVID-19 cases and seven deaths.
