Tamil Nadu Govt To Award Madurai Loco Pilot Who Saved 1,500 Lives
Tamil Nadu government on January 26 will award the Anna Gallantry Award to Madurai-based loco pilot who saved over 1,500 lives. Reportedly, on November 18, J Suresh applied emergency breaks of the Vaigai Express after noticing stone pieces on the railway track. This emergency response had saved the lives of more than 1,500 passengers. Belonging to the Southern Division of the Indian Railways, the pilot will be awarded by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami.
