Telangana's Pochampally Placed Among World's Best Tourism Village: UN

The United Nations World Tourism Organisation listed Pochampally, a village in Telangana's Nalgonda district, as one of the best tourism villages in the world. The development will reportedly facilitate tourism and promote local welfare in the village. It is also regardrd as the ''Silk City of India'' as the villagers known for weaving ''Pochampally Ikat'' Sarees. ''I'm grateful for the award to Pochampally,'' said G Kishan Reddy, Tourism Minister.
