Telegram Most Downloaded App In January; Clocks 24% From India

US-based mobile app watcher Sensor Tower's report has suggested that ‘Telegram’ became the most downloaded non-gaming app globally in January 2021. Interestingly, of the last month’s 63 million installation of the messaging app, India alone accounted for 24% of the downloads. Clocking 62 million downloads, TikTok stood second with most downloads coming from China and US. Meanwhile, WhatsApp slipped to fifth from third position, possibly due to the ongoing privacy policy controversy, claimed the experts.
