Test Finds Anti-ageing Protein In Mice Sent To Space
A joint study by Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and Tohoku University has identified an anti-ageing protein in mice. The tests were conducted on the mice, sent to space in 2018. The protein Nrf2, which turns the stress defense mechanism on and off, considerably slowed down biological changes in mice. Scientists said this discovery could help thrive the treatment of old age related complications like Alzheimer's and diabetes plus finding solutions for space-related health risks.
