TIME Features Indian-Origin Gitanjali Rao As 'Kid Of The Year'
Outshining 5,000 nominees, Gitanjali Rao, an Indian-American inventor, has been named as the first-ever 'Kid of the year' by TIME Magazine. The 15-year-old has been doing "astonishing work" in the technological field to tackle issues like cyberbullying, opioid addiction and contaminated drinking water. Talking about her generation, Gitanjali said, "If I can do it, anybody can do it." Hollywood actor and activist Angelina Jolie had interviewed Gitanjali for the magazine.
