TN Government Allows ICMR for BCG trials

The Indian Council of Medical Research's Tuberculosis Institution has been given permission by the Tamil Nadu Government to study the efficiency of the Bacillus Calmette Gurin (BCG) vaccine in elderly people at Chetpet, Chennai on Wednesday, July 15 to fight against Corona Virus Pandemic. This step was taken in people's welfare for their protection."The ICMR institute is set to begin the trials very soon" said C Vijayabasker, Health Minister, TN.
