Tokyo Olympics To See Less Number Of Athletes In Opening Ceremony
The Tokyo Olympics organizers on January 18 stated that they would simplify the operations amidst the pandemic by bringing down the number of athletes at the opening and closing ceremonies. With more than 11,000 athletes competing, only 6,000 are expected to partake in the ceremonies. Moreover, this year's ceremonies will reportedly be redesigned, leaving behind grand traditions and keeping it simple and restrained. However, any "specific approach" has not been decided yet.
