Treat Sex Workers With Dignity, Don't Abuse, SC To Police
The Supreme Court reviewed a petition and directed the police not to abuse during brothel raids against consenting sex workers, as it is not illegal. In a major judgment, the SC bench directed police to treat sex workers with dignity and provide them equal rights, like any citizen under the constitution. Considering the abusive attitude of police, SC said, "The police must refrain from interfering or taking any criminal action."
