Tripura Cong President's Convoy Allegedly Attacked By BJP Workers

Tripura state Congress chief Pijush Biswas was shifted to a local hospital after his car was allegedly attacked by BJP workers on January 17. Biswas confessed that the incident took place in front of the Congress' field office in Bishalgarh when he was en route to attend a meeting. Moreover, several Congress workers, including a policeman, were injured in the attack. While police have registered the case, Tripura Congress called for a state-wide 12-hour bandh.
