Truecaller's New Feature To Inform Users About Reason Of Call

Truecaller has introduced three new features - 'Call Reason', 'Release SMS scheduling’ and 'Message Translation’ - in its latest update on October 21. Benefitting both the sender and the receiver, 'Call Reason' will allow the former to convey objective of the call while enabling the latter to check what the call is about: Business, personal or emergency. The feature aims to assist receivers in prioritising the calls, and help callers to customize or pick from the template/pre-filled reasons for better trysts. Truecaller said that this will increase call pick-up rates, especially in case of incoming from new numbers. The ‘Schedule SMS' will enable users to set reminders for events or other purposes and the 'SMS Translate' feature will offer instant translation of the text content in the app itself. Answering to questions, Truecaller confirmed that although the 'Call Reason' will not be encrypted, it would not be easy for anyone to decrypt it due to other safety standards paced by the company. It asserted that these free updates will save time and help professionals and businesses to increases their engagements.
