Twitter Likely To Start Paid Subscription Service For Special Content
Twitter on February 25 revealed its plans to introduce a subscription service asking users to pay for exclusive content from high-profile accounts. Dubbed as 'Super Follows', the service supplements an economic model which aims to expand revenue collection beyond targeted advertising. 'Super Follows' is described as a two-way mechanism and will enable users to support creators financially, thereby incentivizing them to continue producing content. Additionally, audiences will also receive newsletters and virtual badges in exchange.
