Twitter Loses $5 Billion Market Capitalization Following Trump's Ban
As the microblogging site Twitter banned US President Donald Trump, its stock tumbled 12% on January 11, wiping out a whopping $5 billion of market capitalization. The shares nosedived as investors became concerned of boycotts and withdrawals of users from the site due to politics. Twitter had banned Trump's account having nearly 88 million followers last week. Moreover, Facebook has also suspended Trump's account till January 20.
