Twitter Suspends Over 550 Accounts After Farmers' Tractor Rally Violence
Twitter on January 27 suspended over 550 accounts over tweets related to the violence at the farmers' tractor rally on the Republic Day. It red-flagged the handles and labelled tweets violating its media policy. A Twitter spokesperson said, "Using a combination of technology and human review… [Twitter] suspended more than 550 accounts engaged in spam and platform manipulation.” The spokesperson added that Twitter is strongly monitoring the situation and would report posts which violate rules.
