UN Condemns Mahsa Amini’s Death, Demands Accountability
United Nations experts have strongly condemned the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini. Mahsa Amini was allegedly killed in police custody in Iran for wearing an “improper hijab” and failing to comply with Iran’s strict rules on women’s dress. UN also said that the officials need to be held accountable for the death of Amini. “She is another victim of Iran’s sustained repression and systematic discrimination against women,” said experts.
