UN Human Rights Office Accuses China Of ‘Crimes Against Humanity’
The United Nations Human Rights (UNHR) office has accused China of violating international human rights rules, by committing “crimes against humanity”. China has reportedly come to such a conclusion after “rigorous review of documented material”. This has come following China’s arbitrary detention of people from the Uyghur community in Xinjiang. China on the other hand, contended that those were counter-terrorism efforts, and were not intended to “suppress an ethnic minority”.
