Unilever To Omit Word 'Normal', Digital Body Shaping From Beauty Ads
UK-based FMCG company Unilever has avowed to omit the word "normal" form the advertisements of its range of beauty and personal care products in the likes of Dove and TRESemme among others. In news for renaming 'Fair and Lovely' to ‘Glow and Lovely', Unilever will discontinue the digital editing of body shapes and complexion in advertisements. Amid facing backlash for advertising regressive beauty-related stereotypes, Unilever claims to progress towards a "more inclusive definition of beauty".
