Union Health Minister Hints Of Late Stage Trials of Intranasal COVID-19 Vaccine in India
Speaking about the developments on COVID vaccines, Union Health Minister Dr Harshvardhan said the Serum Institute of India and Bharat Biotech may soon start late stage trials of an intranasal vaccine for COVID-19. However, he said the pharmaceutical companies are yet to receive regulatory approval and added that the late stage trials usually include over 30,000 participants. According to WHO, none of the intranasal vaccines for COVID-19 have reached the phase 3 trials yet.
