Union Health Ministry Issues Guidelines For Monkeypox Prevention
Monkeypox spreading rapidly across the globe is raising concerns, following which, the Union Health Ministry issued guidelines for states/UTs. On May 31, the Government issued protocols and precautions for preventing the monkeypox disease in India. Some issued guidelines include monitoring contacts, restrictions on blood, tissue donation for asymptomatic contacts, avoiding contact with infected people, isolation, and others. Furthermore, the WHO also confirmed over 250 cases in 24 countries.
