UN's WFP Of India Requests To Re-Initiate Mid-Day Meal In Schools
United Nations' World Food Program of India said that the Mid Day Meals should be re-initiated with the provision of hot-cooked meals when the schools reopens. A recent UN report presented evidence on the short and long-term effects of disruptions in school meal plans during the pandemic. "India has set an example through its existing food safety net and not disrupting children's nutrition during the pandemic," said Bishwa Parajuli, the county's director of WFP.
