US Deems Outbreak Of Monkeypox As Public Health Emergency: Health Secretary

The United States announced Monkeypox a Public Health Emergency on August 4, indicating that the virus poses a considerable danger to Americans stated President Biden's health secretary, Xavier Becerra. The designation frees up emergency money and removes certain bureaucratic barriers. This action comes as US President Joe Biden and Becerra have been under great pressure from campaigners and public health professionals to act more forcefully to address the outbreak.
