Using Oxygen & Magnets, Astronauts In Space May Be Able To Breathe More Easily: Study
An international team of scientists has suggested utilizing magnetism to create oxygen for astronauts in space. The work reveals for the first time in microgravity that gas bubbles can be "attracted to" and "repelled from" a simple neodymium magnet by immersing them in various types of aqueous solution. The findings might pave the way for scientists and engineers working on oxygen systems, and other space research requiring liquid-to-gas phase shifts.
