Uttar Pradesh: Dalit Man's Half Burnt Body Found in Gauriganj

On September 5, a half-burnt body of a man was found in Gauriganj, Amethi. Reportedly, the victim identified as Ram Prasad, a dalit, had expressed his objection towards construction of a public toilet in front of his residence. The Additional Superintendent of Police Daya Ram Saroj said, "the body was recovered and sent for autopsy". The family members of the deceased suspect the death to be a case of murder.
