The Uttar Pradesh Police on May 13 booked former IAS officer Surya Pratap Singh for allegedly spreading misinformation about the bodies floating in River Ganga. As per the police, Singh posted a seven-year-old picture and claimed that 67 dead bodies were buried recently in an undignified way using JCB in Unnao. "Due to this tweet, the atmosphere of the district became tense," said a senior police official.
