Vinesh Phogat Beats Belarusian Wrestler By 10-8; Bags Gold In Ukraine

Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat has won gold by defeating 2017 world champion Belarusian Vanesa Kaladzinskaya at the Outstanding Ukrainian Wrestlers and Coaches Memorial tournament. Beginning with a 4-0 lead in the 53kg category, the world number three endured and delivered consistent attacks to finish 10-8 in Ukraine. Vinesh, the only Indian woman wrestler to qualify for the Tokyo Games, will next represent India in the UWW 'Matteo Pellicone' ranking series.
