Walnut Intake Reduces Inflammation, Risk Of Heart Attacks: Study
A study, conducted for over two years by Dr Emilio Ros in Barcelona, has found that walnuts reduce inflammation thereby lowering the risk of heart diseases. The study indicated 11.5% decrease in inflammation in 600 older adults who consumed 30-60 gram walnuts each day as part of their diet. American College of Cardiology has published this study in its journal. Ros said long-term inflammation increases atherosclerosis, leading to heart attacks.
