Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur Create Records At Brisbane Test
The temperamental partnership between Washington Sundar and Shardul Thakur on January 17 at the Brisbane Test created many records. While Sundar with his 62-run knock broke the 110-year-record of most runs by visiting debutant at number 7, Shardul’s 67-run innings became the third-highest score for an Indian batting at number 8 spot in Australia. The southpaw Sundar also became the third Indian cricketer to score a half-century and pick three-wicket haul on debut.
