Week Before Release, Sasikala Hospitalised In Bengaluru
Ahead of her release from jail on January 27, the ousted AIADMK leader VK Sasikala was admitted to a hospital in Bengaluru following breathlessness and fever. However, she has tested negative for COVID-19 and is "being treated with high flow nasal oxygen", stated Dr. Vijayalakshmi GN, hospital medical superintendent. The former AIADMK leader, who was expelled from the party, is currently serving her four-year jail term under the charges of holding disproportionate assets.
