Well-preserved Roman mosaic floor hidden beneath vines discovered in Italy
Archeologists have discovered a well-preserved ancient Roman mosaic floor hidden under the row of vines near Verona, Italy.
According to experts, it can be traced back to 3rd century AD. The discovery comes almost a century after the remains of a Roman villa were unearthed in the area, in 1922.
Archeologists are determining the scale of the original villa, after which officials will decide the best way to demonstrate and make it accessible to public.
