West Bengal Government Revises Price Structure Of Liquor
After requests from the Confederation of Indian Alcoholic Beverage Companies (CIABC), the West Bengal government has restructured the pricing scheme for alcohol retailers. The new price structure has 22 slabs for wine and beer. A CIABC official stated the government was supportive in altering the price tag ahead of the festive season. Earlier, the government had raised the prices to increase the revenue; however, it resulted in decline in sales.
