"Won't Implement CAA": Kerala CM Reiterates After Amit Shah's Remarks
Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan on February 13 said his government would not implement the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act in the state. The announcement was made during the launch of the CPI(M)’s campaign targeting the upcoming assembly elections. The Kerala CM's remark came after Union Home Minister Amit Shah on his Bengal tour announced to implement CAA after COVID-19 vaccination is over. Earlier in 2019, the Kerala assembly passed a resolution against the Citizenship Amendment Act.
