Workers Unearth Bust Of Greek God Hermes From Sewage In Athens
During a sewage work, a bust of ancient Greek god Hermes was unearthed in central Athens on November 13. The Greek Culture Ministry stated that the bust could be from 300 B.C. and served as one of the street markers in ancient Athens. The ministry added that the sculpture depicted Hermes at his matured age. Besides, it replicated the style of famous Greek sculpture Alcamenes.
