Youths Discover 1000-year-old Gold Coins During Excavation in Israel
A group of youngsters uncovered 1000-year-old gold coins during an archaeological excavation in Israel. The coins - 425 in all - were made of 24-carat gold. Reportedly, the coins were buried in a clay vessel, affixed with a nail for protection. "It was very exciting to find such a special and ancient treasure," said Oz Cohen, one of the youths who found the coins.
