In a bizarre incident, a 23-year-old man was arrested by Firozabad police for impersonating a cop and extorting money from vehicle drivers. On October 3, the Uttar Pradesh police said, Mukesh Yadav (23) used to evade toll tax off from Yamuna Expressway near Agra. He was caught after police found his age and physical appearance questionable for the position and investigated to find Yadav, a fraud, evading toll plaza money.
In Jharkhand’s Dumka, four members of a family, including three women, were allegedly forced to consume human excreta, in a suspicion that the family was practising witchcraft. The incident occurred in Aswari village, and according to the police, the family was also tortured with a hit iron rod. The police further stated that the women were brutally thrashed and have been shifted to Saraiyahat Community Health Centre for treatment.
In a bizarre incident, a man named Paresh Arvindbhai Patel has been held for allegedly travelling without a ticket for 23 years and, when asked, used to avoid ticket checking by claiming to be "railway staff." However, during a special drive against the ticketless passengers, Patel was caught with a revelation that he was not the staff but the railway contractor. With the aim of promoting the scourge of single-use plastic, Anil Chauhan, accompanied by daughters, seven-year-old Shreya and four-year-old Yukti, cycled 11,000 km from Daman and Diu to Lucknow. He began his journey on January 1 and has so far traversed through Goa, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh, urging people to create awareness of ban single use plastic, just to stop the death of cows due to single-use plastic.

Abu Abdullah, a 63-year-old man from Saudi Arabia, has been termed as the “Polygamist of the Century,” for his history of multiple marriages. He has reportedly married 53 women in a span of 43 years, his first marriage was at the age of 20, and the second one was at 23. He reasoned with it, saying that he didn’t find the right woman, and hence kept remarrying.
