Vijaya Kamble, a Hindu Man from Karnataka was allegedly stabbed to death over an inter-religion love affair. On May 27, the police confirmed the case saying Kamble was in love with a Muslim girl and was planning to get married when the suspect, brother, and father of the girl killed Vijaya. Victim's mother filed a FIR and demanded justice to his son. Furthermore, two people have been arrested in matter.

Former Punjab Health Minister and AAP leader Vijay Singla have been remanded 14-days of judicial custody. On May 27, a Mohali Court granted custody in corruption charges.  The judgment came after he was produced before the court for demanding 1% commission for projects in Punjab misusing his position. Notably, Singla was arrested by the anti-corruption branch and was sacked from the cabinet ministry by CM Bhagwant Mann.

Former Chief of Minister of Haryana Om Prakash Chautala has been sentenced to four years of imprisonment by a special CBI court, in a disproportionate assets case, on May 27. The court also slammed Chautala with a fine of Rs 50 lakh, and confiscated four of his properties. According to CBI's FIR, Chautala has been accused for accumulating movable and immovable properties, disproportionate to his known lawful sources of income.

Former minister and Congress leader Karti Chidambaram is being grilled in the Chinese Visa Scam case, for the second consecutive day, on May 27. The CBI called Chidambaram for interrogation in 2011 matter, where Karti allegedly issued visas to 263 Chinese nationals illegally and took bribe of Rs 50 lakhs. A 21-year-old adult and five other juveniles have been arrested by Delhi police for alleged sexual abuse of a 12-year-olf girl, on May 26. Reportedly, the girl's friend lured her into a jungle, near the Railway line, were five other boys were present. Three boys sexually assaulted her, while three others watched the horrific act. The girl returned home and informed her parents, after which a case was filed.
