Mentally Disable Person Swallows Weird Items, Doctors Remove Shocking Items

In a concerning case from Moga in Punjab, a 40-year-old man reported to be mentally unwell underwent a medical operation where the doctors removed shocking things from his stomach. The man complained of severe and long-term stomach ache drawing medical attention. He was operated on by the experts for three hours and items such as earphones, lockets, screws, and rakhis were removed from the person's stomach.

Chandrababu Naidu Having Death Threats Amid Mosquitoes: Nara Lokesh

Disease X Can Cause Another Pandemic, Says Expert

A UK health expert said that Disease X, the name of the World Health Organisation (WHO), can cause another pandemic deadlier than Covid-19. In an interview to Daily Mail, Kate Bingham, who served as the chair of the UK's Vaccine Taskforce from May to December 2020, said the new virus could have a similar impact to the devastating pandemic. According to WHO, Disease X could be a new agent.

China Becomes Country With Largest Number Of Alzheimer's Patients In World

China has become the country with the largest number of Alzheimer's patients in the world, the state-run Global Times reported. Alzheimer's disease is the most common type of dementia and mostly affects people in old age. In China, however, the disease is also occurring at an increasingly younger age. Sources said, about 15.07 million people aged 60 and above in China have dementia, of which 9.83 million have Alzheimer's disease.

Kozhikode Nipah Virus: Kerala Govt Eases Lockdown Restrictions

With no new cases of Nipah Virus Infections in the past one week, the district authorities in Kerala's Kozhikode on Friday exempted all the wards of the nine panchayats in Vadakara Taluk from the containment zone and announced further relaxations in the remaining containment zones. Nipah Virus Alert: Kerala Government On High Alert

The virus gripped the coastal state of Kerala for the fourth time and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) informed that it has sought 20 more doses of the anti-body vaccine from Australia. It has also said that the mortality among the infected is very high in the virus (between 40 and 70 per cent) compared to the mortality in Covid, which was 2-3 per cent.
