Nepal PM Sher Bahadur Deuba congratulated PM Narendra Modi for achieving the 1 billion vaccination milestone on October 22. 2nd Billion Doses Likely To Be Administered In 3-4 Months: Vaccine Panel Chief

According to vaccine panel head Dr NK Arora, India took more than nine months to achieve the one billion milestone. However, the next one billion is expected to be achieved in three to four months. Reportedly, 30% of adults are fully vaccinated. "We think by the end of this year everybody will get at least one dose and there'll be few left for the second dose,'' said Dr. Arora.
