Odisha Govt Announces 4G Internet Connection In 2,800 Villages
The Odisha Government announced 4G-Internet connectivity for nearly 2,800 villages soon. According to the official announcement on July 31, a total of 2,792 villages will be brought under the 4G network of the country as part of the Centre's digital inclusion policy worth Rs 26.316 crores, including 465 villages in the Kandhamal district, approved by Union Cabinet. Jio Tops In 4G Download Speed; Vodafone Ranks 1 In Upload For April
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has revealed that with a speed of 20.1 Mbps, Reliance Jio had the highest download speed in 4G networks for April 2021. While the nearest competitor Vodafone was approximately three times less than Jio at 7 Mbps, it was followed by Idea at 5.8 Mbps. For uploading speed, Vodafone topped the chart at 6.7 Mbps, followed by Idea at 6.1 Mbps.
