BJP Wins 41 Out Of 44 seats In Gandhinagar Elections

BJP has registered its victory in Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation (GMC) elections by winning 41 seats out of 44 on October 5. While Aam Aadmi Party and Congress get one and two seats, respectively. Notably, a total of 161 candidates were competing for 44 seats in GMC distributed across 11 wards. ''I'm glad that the responsibility entrusted by PM Narendra Modi to us, was successfully achieved,'' said CM Bhupendra Patel.

AAP Will Ensure One Govt Job For Each Family In Goa: Kejriwal

Ahead of the Goa Assembly election, AAP party chief Arvind Kejriwal on September 21 promised that if his party came to power, he would reserve 80% of jobs for locals in the government and private sector in Goa. He also assured the AAP government would ensure a government job for one unemployed person in each family. For jobless youths, Kejriwal promised Rs 3,000 per month until they get jobs.

AAP Promises 24*7 Free Electricity in UP Ahead Of 2022 Election

To woo voters in the upcoming UP election, Aam Aadmi Party on September 16 promised to provide 300 units of 24*7 free electricity. Also, AAP promised to provide subsided electricity, wave off past power bills, free electricity to farmers. On the anniversary of passing three farm laws by the central government, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) have announced to observe September 17 as ''black day''. AAP leaders have decided to hold candle marches in Punjab to pay tribute to the farmers who died during the protest. "The BJP was obliged to change Chief Ministers of Uttarakhand and Gujarat due to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) challenge," said Raghav Chadha, National spokesperson of AAP on Sept 12. Arvind Kejriwal Re-Elected As APP Party's Supremo For Third-Time

In the national executive meeting held on Sept 12, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was re-elected as AAP's National Convener for the third time in a row. Earlier, the party's constitution didn't allow the candidate to hold the position for more than two years. Punjab CM Have To Prove Cong's Majority As AAP Challenges 

Punjab CM Amarinder Singh on September 3 tabled a meeting with MLAs after AAP moves a no-confidence motion against him to prove the majority in the assembly. Reportedly, Navjot Singh Sidhu was seen missing in the meeting. However, the special 1-day session was canceled due to the birth anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur. AAP Announces To Contest On All 403 Seats In UP Election 2022

In the latest development before the 2022 UP assembly election, the Delhi-based Aam Aadmi Party announced on August 31 that it will contest all the 403 seats in the state. Tiranga Yatra To Be Organized By AAP In Ayodhya

The AAP guided by Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh will organize a "Tiranga Yatra" on September 14 in Ayodhya. The Yatra may likely include the Ram Lalla Temple and the Hanumangarhi. Reportedly, the motive behind the yatra is to form a "very different" Hindu identity, religion and nationalism than BJP's.
