Delhi Govt To Soon Introduce Food Truck Policy In National Capital: Manish Sisodia
First, of its kind, the Delhi Government is set to streamline the food truck business in the National Capital, similar to the US, and UK. On August 16, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said the AAP government will soon bring a food truck policy, in regard to which, they conducted a meeting and is in the process of finalizing the hotspots for the food trucks for the public.

Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit Clears 'One MLA, One Pension' Scheme
Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit has cleared the "one MLA, one pension" scheme, informed CM Bhagwant Mann, on August 13. The update has come three months after the bill was passed in the state cabinet. Punjab CM Mann took to Twitter, and expressed his joy. "This will save a lot of tax," he said. With this scheme, pensions to MLAs will not be paid based on number of terms.

Delhi Govt To Set Up Seperate Toilets For Transgenders; Work Underway
The state government of Delhi informed the Delhi High Court that work is underway for the creation is seperate toilets for people of the transgender community. Delhi government further stated that the work is being carried out in a fast track basis. The submissions have come as a response to a PIL filed seeking seperate washroom for the transgenders.

AAP Councillor Akbar Bholi Shot Dead In Gym: Punjab
In Punjab's Malerkoltla district, an Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) municipal councillor was allegedly shot dead. Reportedly, AAP councillor Akbar Bholi was at gym, when two unknown assailants shot him dead. According to Superintendent of Police Avneet Kaur, it seemed like a case of enmity. Bholi is survived by his wife, three sons and a married daughter. Further details on the matter is awaited.

Delhi's Excise Policy To Expire On Jul 31, Govt To Revert Back To Old Policy
After the expiry of the current Excise police on July 31, the Delhi government will reportedly adopt the previous policy for the next six months. The current Excise policy was initially supposed to end on March 31, however got extended twice, for two months each. An investigation by the Delhi police's Economic Offences Wing (EOW) is underway, as the government is alleged for "corrupt" deals with liquor contracts.
