ATT Protein Deficiency In West Likely Caused Rapid Spread Of COVID

A study by Indian scientists has revealed that deficiency of Alpha-anti-trypsin (AAT) protein might be a major factor in the rapid spreading of the COVID-19 strains. The researchers from West Bengal's NIBMG suggested that AAT deficiency is much prevalent in Europe and America, resulting in people to contract the virus rapidly. However, further experiments are underway to ensure AAT's capabilities to prevent COVID-19.
