Kochi Metros Launches Freedom Ride For Rs 10 On Independence Day

Under the "Freedom Travel" initiative, the Kochi Metro authority launched the scheme, which allows travel to commuters at Rs 10 only. Launched on August 15, as a part of the "Aazadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" travellers can take any distance ticket taken from any station in between 6 am to 11 pm, will be for Rs 10. The freedom ride, in association with MyByk will begin from JLN Stadium.

BEST Extends Rs 1 "Freedom Travel" Plan Till August 31

The Bombay Electric Supply & Transport (BEST) decided to extend the "freedom plan" till August 31. Under the initiative, users can download "Chalo App" and purchase Rs 1 ticket, which can be used to travel any route in the City, with both Ac/ Non-AC buses. Launched on August 1, under the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav', the plan is extended till August 31 and has been used by 1 lakh Mumbaikars.

TMC To Hold "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" Marathon On August 14

The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) along with the Thane district athletics association will conduct a 10-km marathon competition and annual cyclothon on August 14, the eve of the 75th Independence Day celebration. Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Free Booster Vaccination Drive Begins Across India

Nationwide special booster vaccination drive for eligible people, (18-59) years old age group, begins on July 15. The vaccine drive has been launched under the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' to mark the 75 years of Independence of India. Eligible people who have completed their two Covid-19 vaccine doses, and have a duration gap of six months between the booster and two doses, can take booster in their respective states.

NBT Organises 9-Day Book Fair In Shimla As "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'

The National Book Trust organised a nine-day book fair in Shimla. Starting from June 25, the fair will continue till July 3, as a part of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'. Yuvraj Malik, the director of NBT said, the celebration of the book fair will witness over 70 stalls, and participation from 45 publishers, books available in various languages. He further added, he fair is organised to promote reading-culture among youths.
