ADEK Recognizes Indian-Origin Teacher And Honours With 'Best Teacher' Award
Greeshma Rajesh Anil Kumar, the 35-year-old computer science teacher in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, has been awarded the best teacher award. Kumar, an Indian-origin teacher has been awarded by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) for his dedication and contribution to education in Abu Dhabi. Notably, Greeshma Rajesh Anil Kumar is a teacher at Mayoor Private School.

Delhi Court Grants Permission To Jacqueline Fernandez, To Travel To Abu Dhabi

UAE President Seikh Khalifa Passes Away: PM Modi Expresses Grief
The second President of UAE and 16th Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan passed away at the age of 73, after long illness. UAE will go into a 40 period of mourning, with flags flown at half-mast, all government agencies federal, privet entities will suspend work for three days. On May 13 PM Narendra Modi expressed grief over his passing away calling him a great statesman.

International Holding Company To Invest In Adani Groups: Gautam Adani
Abu Dhabi-based International Holding Company will invest USD 2 billion in three green-focused companies of the Adani Group. On April 8, Gautam Adani said, "IHC will invest Rs 3,850 crore in Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL), Rs 3,850 crore in Adani Transmission Ltd (ATL), and Rs 7,700 crore in Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL)." India To Sign CEPA Trade Agreement With UAE During Virtual Summit
India is set to sign Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) trade agreement with the UAE, during virtual summit, on February 18. The agreement will boost domestic industry with potential of $100 billions bilateral trade in five years, opening markets in West Asia and Africa. Actor Hrithik Roshan has completed his Abu Dhabi shoot schedule for his next film ''Vikram Vedha''. "Vikram Veda concluded its first schedule spanning 27 days in Abu Dhabi with Hrithik Roshan...'' informed Taran Adarsh, a film critic. The movie is a Hindi remake of a Tamil film. The movie is directed by Pushkar- Gayathri and produced by Neeraj Pandey. Notably, Saif Ali Khan is also part of the movie.

Team Abu Dhabi Records Win Against Chennai Braves
Team Abu Dhabi won against Chennai Braves by eight wickets in the Abu Dhabi T10 League on November 22. With this win, Abu Dhabi led by Liam Livingstone recorded their fourth consecutive win in the tournament. Abu Dhabi on November 7 announced a new law, in which non-muslims will be allowed to marry, divorce, and get joint child custody. 2nd Edition Of IPL Begins; Vaccination Certificate Mandatory
IPL opens the second half of the 14th edition for fans in Abu-Dhabi, Sharjah, and Dubai. Sharjah stadium to allow 16+ years age bracket fans. However, a vaccination certificate is necessary for Dubai and PCR test results for no more than 48 hours are required. Fans are to be masked at all times, and social distancing is mandatory.
