WhatsApp has revealed in a monthly compliance report that it banned over 20 lakh accounts in India in August. Reportedly, the company primarily banned the account because of unauthorised use of automated or bulk messages. ''Our top focus is preventing accounts from sending harmful or unwanted messages at scale,'' said Whatsapp. Earlier in July, it had banned over 30 lakh accounts between June 16 to July 31.
