Nerul police have arrested a 74-year-old man for allegedly kidnapping a four-year-old girl from Nerul. The police traced the accused after going through hundreds of CCTV footage. The accused was caught in Darave village and the child was rescued. The four-year-old girl living in a hut near Nerul railway station had gone missing. Senior Inspector Tanaji Bhagat after a complaint was received with the Nerul Police in this regard.

Nearly four months after a heritage cannon weighing around 250 kg went missing from the premises of the Gazetted Officers’ Mess of the Punjab Armed Police (PAP) in Chandigarh’s Sector 1. They apprehended three people, including a cook and a minor, for allegedly trying to sell it to scrap dealers, identified as Subham Sharma(23,) a constable with the 82nd Battalion of the PAP, and Sanjay Kumar(29,) a DJ from Kaimbwal.

A 14-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by two minors from her school when she was returning home after attending classes in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut district. The two accused, class IX and X student took the victim to a sugarcane field forcefully and committed the crime. The police has formed teams and is searching the absconding accused.
