Delhi: Mother In Law Pours Acid On Daughter In Law, Arrested

In Delhi, a horrific incident was reported, a 49-year-old woman allegedly poured acid on her 22-year-old daughter-in-law. The police confirmed the case and arrested the accused identified as Anjali, a resident of the New Usmanpur area in northeast Delhi. According to police, the incident occurred on September 21, at around 5.30 p.m. The complainant was admitted to JPC Hospital with 25 per cent acid burns.

Odisha Woman Suffers Burn Injuries After Acid Attack

In Odisha's Cuttack, a woman was seriously injured after some unidentified miscreants allegedly hurled acid on her, confirmed police on July 13. The victim allegedly took loans from several lenders, and when she failed to repay the loans, the accused allegedly hurled acid at her. The police registered a case and launched an investigation.  Meanwhile, the woman who received severe burn injuries is being treated at a state-run hospital.

Bangalore Acid Attack: Accused Arrested After 2 Weeks In Tamil Nadu

Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra said that the accused in an acid attack case has been arrested, two weeks after the incident. Reportedly, the arrest has been made by Karnataka police, with the support of Tamil Nadu police. He further stated that the accused will be produced before a fast-track court for speedy trial. Nagesh (accused) reportedly thew acid on a 24-year-old woman, after she turned down his marriage proposal.

Acid Thrown At Couple For Not Withdrawing Sexual Harrassment Case Of Daughter

In Uttar Pradesh's Pilibhit, an acid attack was carried out at a couple for not withdrawing the sexual harrasment case of their daughter, on May 9. Reportedly, acid was thrown at Nanhe Lal (42) and his wife Lakshmi (40) while they were sleeping, in a bid to pressure them to withdraw the case. Three of the five accused, all residents of Agyari village, have been arrested.

Father-Son Duo Held For Alleged Acid Attack: Gujarat

In Gujarat’s Amreli district, a father-son duo has been arrested for attacking two women. The women were returning home from a hospital on February 6, when the men attacked. Amreli police registered a case under IPC Section 328A.Notably, the father was alleged for rape in January 2021 and wanted to take revenge from the victims. Meanwhile, victims have suffered 15-30% burn injuries and are out of danger.

Woman Suffers Internal Organs' Burn After Forcibly Drinking Acid

A woman in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh suffered serious internal burns after her husband allegedly made her consume acid. She has been brought to Delhi for treatment. Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chairperson, Swati Maliwal said that the accused is on the run and has not been arrested. Besides, the DWC chief requested MP’s CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, for his early arrest. However, an FIR has been registered against him.

Punjab: Man Throws Acid On Wife For Not Bearing Son But 2 Daughters

The Punjab’s Patiala police has booked an attempt to murder case against a man for acid attack on his wife. The accused, a farmer from Naugavan village, escaped after attacking his wife with acid on April 13. Father of two girls, the drug addict accused often blamed her wife for not bearing son and finally threw acid. Sustaining 58% burns mainly on chest and head, the victim is undergoing treatment.

Girlfriend Throws Acid On Man After His Parents Fix Marriage Elsewhere

UP’s Agra-based 28-year-old Devendra Rajput succumbed to severe burn injuries after his girlfriend Sonam threw acid on him on March 25. The woman reportedly burned his boyfriend after calling him early from work on the pretext of fixing a ceiling fan. As per reports, the couple were staying together in a rented house in Khandari area and the woman was angry as Devendra's family had arranged his marriage elsewhere.
