ACP Shot Dead Wife And Nephew, Shoots Himself Later In Pune

A 57-year-old assistant commissioner of police (ACP) allegedly shot dead his wife and nephew with a gun before shooting himself fatally at his home in Maharashtra's Pune city on July 24. The incident took place at around 3.30 am at ACP Bharat Gaikwad's bungalow in Baner area. The reason behind the incident was yet to be ascertained and an investigation into the matter is underway.

Minor Boy Arrested For Raping Girl In Parked Bus: Gujarat

Gujarat Police detained a juvenile boy on January 12, in connection with raping a minor girl in a parked bus on VIP road in the Harni area of Vadodara. "A minor girl was raped in a bus parked on VIP road in the Harni area on January 2," ACP, Bharat Rathod told ANI. The two other accused in the case are still absconding. On January 12, the case was registered.

SBI Employee Shot Dead By 2 Unidentified Person: Mumbai

Two unidentified men shot a contractual employee of the State Bank of India (SBI,) Dahisar branch, Mumbai on December 29. Pravind Padwal, the Additional CP of North region confirmed the same and informed that both accused collected Rs 2.5 lakh from the cashier and fled away. " A total of eight teams have been constituted to search for them," Padwal said.  In addition, a further investigation is underway.

Mumbai Police Appoints ACP-Level Officer To Probe Allegations Against Sameer Wankhede

Mumbai police on October 27 appointed an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP-level) officer to investigate the allegation levelled against the NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede. According to sources, the ACP is identified as Milind Kettle, who'll be leading the probe. Four police stations in Mumbai have already received complaints against the officer so far, all of them will be probed by the ACP, as per sources.
