India Records 27,553 New COVID-19 Cases; Maharashtra Tops Omicron Tally

The Union Health Ministry said that India reported 27,553 new COVID-19 cases, 9,249 recoveries, and 284 deaths in the last 24 hours, on January 2. The total recovery of India stands at 3,42,84,561, active cases at 1,22,801, and deaths at 284 cases. India's Omicron tally has reached 1,525 cases, out of which 560 are reported to be recovered. Maharashtra with 460 cases is at the top of the tally.

India Reports 10,229 COVID-19 Cases; Active Cases Lowest In 17 Months

The Ministry of Health on November 15 reported that India recorded 10,229 new COVID-19 cases, 125 deaths, and 11,926 recoveries in the last 24 hours. The active cases stand at 1,34,096 which is said to be the lowest in 17 months. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 1.12% which is below 2% for the last 42 days. Reportedly, India conducted 9,15,198 tests in the past 24 hours.

India's Recovery Rate Stands At 98.20%; Highest Since March '20

As per Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India has reported its all time highest recovery rate at 98.20% since March last year, on October 28. Reportedly, more than 17,000 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally of recoveries to more than 3,36,00,000. Notably, the active cases in the nation stand at a lowest since March last year, at 0.47%.

India Records 15,786 COVID Cases; Recovery Stands At 98.16%

In the last 24 hours, 15,786 new Covid-19 cases were registered in India, which is 14% lower than the previous day's 18,454 cases. The recovery rate stands at 98.16% with 18,641 new recoveries in the past 24 hours. However, around 231 new deaths were also reported in the country. The active caseload reached the lowest in 232 days at 1,75,745. Besides, India has also completed 100 crore vaccine administration.
